at El Segundo Middle School

² Anxiety/Depression/Stress/Fear/Other
Feelings and Emotions
² Alcohol
and Drugs (tobacco,
alcohol, marijuana, other drugs, and support)
² Family
and Home life (communication, boundaries, feelings)
² Academics/School
Life/Homework/Study Habits
Group facilitator: Joan Marie Chapman, MA, MFTI specializes in working with families, adolescents, individuals, and couples using a goal oriented treatment approach which emphasizes self-awareness, insight and empowerment. By highlighting the "how-to's" for reducing stress/anxiety and building strong coping skills she works to increasing self-esteem and improve overall communication for a happy, healthy lifestyle.
Joan actively works with
various community organizations in the South Bay developing mental health and
substance abuse programs for the Beach Cities. Joan also leads on-campus support/counseling
groups in several school districts; works for local youth non-profit
organizations, and provides private counseling services.

The program registration fee is $30 for all six-weeks.
Scholarships available. Checks are
